As a graduate student at American University, I had the opportunity to work on The Public Purpose, AU’s School of Public Affairs graduate student-run policy journal. I worked as a Senior Print Editor for the 2017 version of the journal. It was a really rewarding experience for me because I always really enjoyed journalism, as well as writing and editing experiences in high school and as an undergraduate. I’m now working as in a role at a nonprofit that requires a lot of writing, editing, and research, but I do miss getting to read a larger variety of works.
